Getting up at 6:45 has proven hard.
Always managed to get here on time, but twice with only 5 minutes to spare.
Trying to get to bed early also is proving hard, with my other job I didn’t have to get up until 9:30 or so..so didn’t have to go to bed until 1am, 2am etc. and could even go out on a Wednesday/Thursday. Won’t be able to do that here, yet.
S’pose when I get into it, once a week won’t be too bad, but..am going to be sensible. Declined an offer to go out drinking last night, which is totally unlike me, if you know me at all
But tonight, meeting Liam so alcohol consumption will be vast, oh yes.
When Liam and I get together, well..he’s just a bad influence. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it

Well, didn’t quite get up as early as I had planned this morning, in fact, woke up at 7:20. Only 40 minutes before I had to be there, and its a 40 minute bus ride (after taking 15 minutes to get to the bus stop too!), so was forced to take a taxi.
Cost me £13, bah.
I’m actually at Cleppa Park now, on lunch break, have access to the internet, a bit obviously really, as this is an internet company
Been a bit boring this morning, going through induction, history of
, tour of the builing, what you will and wont be doing, who is who, what is where etc. etc.
Hopefully things will start picking up over the next few days and we’ll start getting into the technical side of things which is what I want to get on with and start taking calls, to prove myself.

Well, I start at
in the morning, how exciting!
Well, Kinda…Gotta be up at 6am, out of the house by 6:45 and on the bus by 07:05
bah humbug. But shall be fun, 4 weeks of training ahead of me, so not thrown in at the deep end.
I have met a few people that work there on an ntl user forum, so at least i’m not 100% on my own either. Not doing too bad so far!
I hope it is all I am expecting..I’ve given up quite a lot to move there.
Nervous now..
Had Laura stay over last night, parents went out to a Summer Ball so spent the night making nice food and watching Family Guy/Random Saturday night TV as you do.
I’m pleased to say that things are going amazingly for Lau and I, things are finally going right for me in the lady department

I know my hours now though, which is good..they aren’t too bad..

Got Tuesdays off, which is also Lauras day off so get to see her, then
Almost my last day at City Link, will be sad to leave as I know everyone so well and get on with them, but..you have to move on I suppose.

Wow..A lot has happened in the last week in the world of good ol’ moi.
For starters, I am now an employee of
I’ll be at their Internet Technical Support centre in Newport.
OK, so it’s quite a big pay cut from what I’m doing at the moment, but..it’s a foot in the door in the IT industry, which is what I want and need.
From here, after spending some time (maybe a year) there, I can apply for jobs at other IT related companies, which will inevitably pay more.
So, in the long run it works out better for me, in theory.
It seems really good there anyways, everyone seems nice and relaxed, no pressure, which is what I really need.
I was going to get my hair cut on Saturday, but..bah, after a long night on Friday I ended up sleeping all day Saturday actually, thus missing my haircut and my meeting with Laura, we were supposed to go see American Pie 3 but ended up sitting in front of the PC instead. Went to see it on Sunday instead.
To be totally honest, it wasn’t as good as the first or second by a long shot but still quite funny at parts. If you liked the first two, you have to see this one just to finish it all off.
Just purchased a new laptop too, I guessed I’d need it because…well..
Ok, I don’t *need* it, but..I thought it would be nice to have for all those long train rides I’ll be taking *ahem* (what train rides?). It’s a nice Dell Inspiron, 2200 processor, 512mb RAM, 15″ screen, etc etc. Nice spec on it, mmhmm.
I now have every Family Guy and South Park episode on my computer
God Bless Kazaa and my 1mb cable connection
Family Guy rules. If you haven’t seen it, you haven’t lived.
Have 190+ Simpsons episodes, but am a long way off getting all of them (are 300 and something of them I think).
I’m a long way off getting my stereophonics fan site up and running, in fact..I haven’t even started yet. Need to start at least a design soon else I shall drift off and it’ll never get done.
Watch this space….

OK, I’ve found some photos! Wooooooo..
Granted they weren’t taken by me, but, who cares

Davey Havok and AFI! Wooooooo!

More Davey of AFI
Their set was *amazing*, I shit you not..

This is an eerie picture that I took whilst peering out of the front of my tent.
The walkway is almost empty as Metallica are on (I don’t like Metallica, so stayed in my tent and drank vodka), it’s very dusky across tent city.

Where *are* all these bloody hits coming from?!
50 yesterday, I know 50 may not seem a lot to some of you larger blog owners, but to me..50 is a lot.
The last time I got 50 hits in a day was when i was running my old blog site back in 1999, when blogging was original..
I’ve decided to start up a Stereophonics fansite. Well, I wouldn’t call it starting up, rather, carrying on a legacy.
Stereophonicsweb.com was one of the largest, and most popular ‘phonics websites around. But unfortunately its owner decided to give it up to go onto bigger and better things.
A few weeks ago I noticed that the domain had lapsed, and decided to purchase it.
I now own the rights to it, and with the blessing of the old webmaster, Paul, will start afresh, hopefully I shall do a good job.
Expect to see it up and running in the next few weeks.
Anyways, was back to work today.
Was funny, after being off for a fortnight, sat on my ass in front of the TV, and spending 5 days at a festival, works seems even crappier than I originally thought.
But on the lighter side of things, I am pursuing new careers again.
Namely, NTL.
I today secured an interview in their Internet Technical Support department, which is based not too far from me, just outside of Cardiff, on the outskirts of Newport.
This, for me..is my dream job.
Internet tech support for a company that I have, to an extent, grown up with.
And the salary is great
Somebody pointed me in the direction of some MP3’s recorded from the AFI set at Reading, I was overjoyed
I have posted one of them here, *download*, this one is my favourite, (and you can probably, if you listen hard enough, hear me singing in the crowd) it’s God Called in Sick Today, and was the closing song of the set, performed, I might add, beautifully, mucho respect goes out to Davey Havok.
I did a panorama of the Reading Arena, but..rushing it, it didn’t quite come out as planned. But, here it is anyways;
