Birthday

Wow! Only a day left until my birthday!
It’s been a great week so far, with my new shifts, Monday & Tuesday are now my weekends, but I also took another two days, so 4 day weekend :)
Back to work tomorrow however, on my birthday too :( I tried to get it off, but seems everyone was anxious to book halloween off. Grr.
The plan for tomorrow?
Am going to the Fortune House in Cathays for a chinese with my parents, sister and Laura then I’m off on my own to meet everyone at Metros, should be fun :) I sent out a mass text message to almost everyone in my phone book yesterday just to make sure everyone comes, it’s fancy dress too :D Dunno what, if anything, I’m going to go as yet though.
Might get a black wig, face paint etc and go as Marilyn Manson, hmm.

oh my GOD

OH MY GOD
I’ve just found out that, I’ve stood on the same stage as none other than MATT BELLAMY of Muse.

At TJ’s in Newport, where I take photos for Alex when he puts gigs on, I always go up there to take photos and once shouted into the mic accidently not knowing it was on, probably the same mic that Matt sang into. Oh My God.

Also, I’ve been backstage, upstairs, where the band are likely to have gone to watch TV, sit on the sofa’s before the gig, take a piss, have a shower..
I’ve sat on that Sofa, Watched that TV, taken a piss in that toilet.

Yes, this is *the* sofa and *the* TV, in *the* room that Matt Bellamy graced in 1999 after/before/during their gig at TJ’s.

His Infernal Tour Cancelling

Laura had a nice phone call from Ticketweb this morning to tell us that HIM at Bristol in January, only two weeks after being announced, is cancelled.
Doesn’t look as though it’s going to be rescheduled either as they are refunding her card instead of the usual “keep hold of your tickets as they will be valid for the new date” line.

Great :(

ok, so I’m not going to buy that 127.0.0.1 t-shirt, I’ve just found a much better one..
This one got me in hysterics

take your hatred out on me

With everything that has been going on here in the past few weeks, I’ve decided to re-open my other website, lifeetc.org.
I had been thinking about it for a few months, after all, it has been down now since April, and I think it was one of my better sites.
I was provoked into thinking harder about it during the last week or so with some of the comments posted on various topics.

LifeEtc is the site where you can hear my voice, what I really think.
If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Some of the things on there may offend you, but that is what the site is all about, my true feelings on subjects of current interest.

Visit it at http://www.lifeetc.org

old entries

Have just spent some time reading through my blog archives, wow..

Things have changed so drastically, I’m quite a lot different now, I think.
I seem to have a settled down more, especially since Laura came along, you can definately notice the difference.
Would I give it all up and go back to how I was? Out almost every night, lots of friends, doing a lot of stupid, random things, not being tied down, free to do what I want?

No. I like how I am now, I’m much more stable, I don’t get sad anymore, ever, in fact, I sometimes miss the feeling, forget what it’s like, but, I don’t want it back.

127.0.0.1

Just purchasing this tee from ThinkGeek, I have to wear it to work :P

biscuits?

Spotted this on BBC News earlier,

“Justin realised buying 900 packets of biscuits would get him a return seat to New York on the supersonic airliner, which retires this week after 26 years of service.

It took visits to three Tesco stores to persuade managers that he was not “completely bonkers”. In the last store he spent £800 on Bahlsen Messino biscuits, which bagged him more than 45,000 Clubcard points.”

How excellent! If only concorde wasn’t retiring tomorrow, I’d eat 900 packets of biscuits.
But seriously, that is a great idea.
Just takes someone strange enough, or with the guts (no pun intended :P) to do it.

…reading..

Reading some of the comments left on a single post on my blog has prompted me to write this reply.
First of all, the internet is a medium of free speech, you cannot mediate this nor police this, if you do not like the view of a particular person, do not read it.
The post in question is that regarding Luke Tanhai. My site has been receiving a lot of extra views due to a particular story I wrote on this subject, that of a boy who was killed not so far from me in a bus accident.
If the view of those who had commented were neot biased due to the fact that it was their loved one who had died, I think we would have got a fairer judgement.
But saying that, if it had been my son, brother, nephew who had died, I’m sure also my view would have been perverted/biased too.
Please, those who read this story, actually read it fully, appeciate that I have sympathised with you on more than one ocassion within the comment, I made one un-positive comment, which was subsequently countered with a positive comment, and for some reason you single that out and brand me as, well, you know what you called me.
I am free to write on here for the world to see, and I will continue to do so.
My passion for writing what I feel shall go unhindered, no matter what.
I shall never be changed.
