So, it’s looking more and more like the occupying force is Iraq is becoming like the dictatorship that they overthew. How ironic.
US troops used white phosphorus as a weapon in last year’s offensive in the Iraqi city of Falluja, the US has said.
So, the ‘coalition of the willing’ invade a country to rid them of a regime that apparently has, and is willing to use chemical weapons.
How do they do it?
Chemical Weapons.

Well, I finally got my speed upgrade from my cable provider, ntl, yesterday.
A free upgrade from 3mb to 10mb, not too shabby if I say so myself.
The speed of the download in the screenshot above is typical when downloading from reputable download sites, ie. mirror.ac.uk, but as with any connection, the download speed can only be as fast as the server can/is configured to go.
I have to say though, 23 minutes to download a 2.5gb Linux (DVD) Iso image is pretty good going!

We have to Stop Will Young.
The Pop Idol winner is about to make a career ending move by re-recording the classic Smiths’ song, ‘Heaven knows I’m miserable now’ as his shot at christmas No.1.
I picked up on this from Fridays’ Guardian, according to this article;
“He has been asked to record a Christmas song for Radio 2, which, being an obliging sort, he’s happy to do.”

Although, I have to admit, Will Young is the lesser of the many evils to have come out of the Pop Idol, X-Factor, Popstars, Fame Academy era, but still, I think it would a career mistake and a pop travesty if he were to cover this song.

I thought that I’d post a quick note about referrers and hintofsarcasm.
I’ve been monitoring them closely over the past few weeks and having never really cared before now, I’ve found it quite interesting.
First, I’d like to thank those who link me, surprisingly you send me quite a lot of hits.

Good ol’ Google also sends me quite a lot of hits and my pages are usually high in the results pages for certain queries.

I’m getting a lot of hits from Google searches on the OneStopPhoneShop because of this rant posted a few months ago blasting the service I received from them and listing the names and email addresses of all the top people there. Hopefully somebody has managed to get hold of them and give them a good talking to, because I still certainly haven’t been able to.

Again, in the first page of results, hooray. This stems from my post about the ‘Shitty Tipper Database‘ back in July, a site which, although humorous, I think is morally reprehensible. Perhaps the full names of the ’shitty tippers’ shouldn’t be used?
Vodka Jelly
Results for this derive from a post made way back in 2003 about my adventures attempting to make Vodka Jelly to take to the Reading festival. Surprisingly, the batch came out OK, even though I had done it completely arse backwards.
Finally, to the person who found my blog through Google using the term ‘Charlotte Chuch boyfriend finger bum‘, you gave me and the guys in work quite a laugh one afternoon a few weeks ago. I salute you sir!
