Quayle eggs

So, with the news that American Vice-President Dick Cheney has now to add ‘shot man in head and torso’ to his long list of debaucheries, how sure are we that he was out hunting Quail and not former Vice-President Dan Quayle?

I mean, c’mon, who hasn’t thought about shooting that smug bastard?
In his own words;

‘I am not part of the problem. I am a Republican’

Surely this is just another one for the anti-gun people to add to their list?
I mean, seriously, if your Vice-President can’t handle a shotgun, what chance has the average Joe Bloggs living in their fancy trailer park?

  1. Huh??

    Being without internet and armed only with the Daily Mail has left me pretty much void of all outside knowledge. Dick Cheney shot someone and claimed it was a Democratic Quail?? :/

  2. Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of the citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government and one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible.
