I Decided to get into the christmas mood by dressing up my desk in the office today.
We have tinsel on the monitor and base unit, snow/ice (on the left), santa and mistletoe on my phone and crackers and a snowglobe with reindeers (on a see-saw no less!) on the right of my keyboard.

Not long to go now!

I told you I overbought tickets for this Noise & Confusion gig on Saturday.
In addition to these I’ve got another two at home too!

No internet connection tonight, some little vagrant bastards decided to take it upon themselves to set the NTL junction box at the end of my street on fire so cable broadband and telephone are out.
Luckily we have Sky satellite TV else I’d be totally screwed.
The NTL engineers are working on it right now though, so hopefully won’t be too long before it’s all back.

I saw this in a quirky little store in Ashbourne and knew I had to have it.
The geek in me prevails once again.

We’re in the Peak District this weekend, expect a post on Monday.
We’re staying at the Boars Head hotel just for a relaxing break before the Christmas rush starts.

The picture that you see is of the sunset as we were driving the car back from Bakewell to the hotel after spending the day there, nice little town. Country life is so different to city life.

The new video to the new James Blount single, ‘Goodbye my lover’ today got its premier, exclusively to mobile phone users. Customers of the 3UK network, like me, can download and watch the new video, starring ‘The OC’ actress Mischa Barton, before anybody else.
I do like the album but am never really bothered with music videos. I’m definitely not an MTV watcher and do not agree with the phrase ‘Video killed the radio star’ at all, but I did feel some sort of need to get this, being the techophile that I am.
It really does go to show how mobile phones play such an important role these days, not too long ago no record company would even think about giving premiers to anybody other than national radio & tv stations.
Could this be a sign of things to come? Perhaps a first look at a Speilberg blockbuster on our 176×208 screens? Who knows.

Also, please do not correct my spelling of his name.
James Blunt’s real name is actually Blount, I just refuse to use the name given to somebody by asshole record company executives for them to appear more ‘PR friendly’. See the wikipedia for confirmation.

This is my first moblog post. I have WordPress setup now so that I can simply send a picture message to a prior specified email address and it get published straight to my blog, no more middle men (ie. Flickr), it’s all ‘in-house’. The joys of having my own server :)
